Job Description

The role is responsible for leading the design team to be effective in driving our core product metrics, all while being user and data centric and advocating for the end user. The role demands passion and high expectations with quality and outcomes.

The role will also take ownership of the core design system and their continued evolution, team capability development and visibility into the research and insight drawn from the design process

  • Managing a team of based in Philippines to set goals, monitoring individual and team performance, creating an engaging workplace and provides coaching to team members.
  • Accountable for resource planning of the UX team, by managing workload, delegation of tasks and responsibilities and overseeing day-to-day operations
  • Owns the user experience and user interface design ensuring a simple and consistent experience for our users across our entire product.
  • Primarily working closely with senior management, partners, customers and product management and delivery teams to define the direction of the product. You will interface with customer service, marketing, tech, payments, content and curation teams frequently.
  • Translate complex requirements into simple UX and UI with expectation in visual facilitation.
  • Execute all visual design stages from concept through to usability testing and user acceptance testing.
  • Owning customer testing and customer feedback frameworks.
  • Create low resolution wireframes, high fidelity graphical design, storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas.
  • Constantly exploring new technologies and design methodologies and staying up to date with the latest UI trends, techniques and technologies. Sharing of new practices to improve team performance.
  • Continuously Identify opportunity areas in the design interface of our platforms and be able to come up with new and practical solutions to further drive optimal user behaviors in our platforms. Working with the product teams on new strategies and core functions of our digital products and come up with necessary tweaks and improvements in the user design interface

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum 7-8 years of total working experience, with 1 year of team management / coaching experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of UI and UX experience for software and applications that leverage on emerging technologies.
  • Strong experience in leading remote design teams to drive real outcomes for end users
  • Experience with user interface design patterns, human interface guidelines and standard UCD methodologies
  • Experience working in an Agile / Scrum development process, working within cross platform teams.
  • Strong experience in design systems and optimizing design processes for effective delivery to cross functional teams
