Heavy Equipment Operator | For Pooling | Toril, Davao City  

Position Summary:

This position is responsible for the proper execution of preventive and corrective maintenance activities on motorpool equipment in accordance with standard operating procedures to ensure the safe and efficient operation of all generating units during the shift.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Performs regular preventive and corrective maintenance work on motorpool machinery and equipment to ensure operational efficiency.
• Performs troubleshooting defective motorpool machinery or equipment. Identifies causes and extent of malfunctions and implements corrective repair or recommends replacement.
• Conducts periodic physical inspections of motorpool equipment to detect any defects and apply necessary corrective action.
• Keeps all equipment parts and arm linkages well-lubricated all the time following established lubrication parameters to ensure that all equipment do not break down due to bearing or rotating element failure.
• Monitors the availability of spare parts, tools, materials and supplies to ensure continuing operations.
• Documents maintenance and repair activities and submits report to Supervisor.
• Supports the operation of equipment such as, but not limited to, Boom truck, Man-Lift, Forklift and Vacuum Truck.
• Complies with occupational safety and health as well as environmental rules and regulations to prevent accidents, illness, and adverse effects on the environment.
• Complies with housekeeping policies within his/her area of responsibility during assigned shift to maintain standards of cleanliness and orderliness of plant equipment and premises.

• Vocational degree in Mechanical Technology or equivalent Technical Training on Heavy equipment and operation
• At least 3 years experience in heavy equipment maintenance and operation

• Knowledge of heavy equipment, machinery and vehicle maintenance and operation
• Knowledge of occupational and environmental hazards and safety precautions, rules and regulations
• Knowledge on emergency response preparedness
