Job Description
- The Logistics Specialist is responsible in Processing of Importations and related documents required.
- Coordinates with Treasury, Finance, Bank and Broker for the opening of Letter of Credit (L.C.).
- Prepares Application of Permit to Import to Department of Energy.
- Prepares and Lodges Application of Authority to Release Imported Goods.
- Fill up application form for the application of Certificate of Authority to Import (C.A.) to Board of Investments ( BOI).
- Computes estimated VAT for TAX CREDIT CERTIFICATE/TAX DEBIT
MEMO (TCC/TDM) application and coordinates with TCC broker. - Declares Insurance for incoming shipments and monthly inventory of coal, Automotive Diesel Oil (ADO) and other materials.
- Coordinates with the Admin Group for renewals of relevant government permits required for Importers.
- Checks shipping documents and counterchecks charges of shipping lines and port charges.
- Monitors the arrival of incoming shipments.
- Coordinates with the Broker for the request of Indorsement from DOF to BOC for the zero duty exemption if the shipments is under C.A. and for for the submission of liquidation of shipments to BOI under C.A.
- Coordinates with the Broker for the lodging and final assessment of the shipment including related billings and payments such as Port Charges, Shipping Charges and VAT/TAXES.
- Sends estimated expenses to Finance for budget of incoming shipments.
Minimum Qualifications
- At least 1 to 2 years experience in logistics function.;
- Graduate of a Business or Engineering course;
- Excellent problem-solving skills;
